QwikPrep is a practice app for students in Ghana, run by BaLes-Solution. Many of the people who use it are children, so we ask for as little about you as we can and never sell or share it for advertising.

What we keep about students

• Your nickname and password. The password is stored scrambled, so nobody can read it.
• Your recovery code, also stored scrambled. Only you see the real code, once, when you sign up.
• Your exam, subjects, school, region and daily goal.
• Your answers, scores, XP, level and streak, so we can mark your work and show progress.
• Any problem you report about a question, with the note you write.

We don’t ask for your real name, phone number, email address or a photo. Please don’t put them in your nickname.

What we keep about teachers

Your email address (to log in and reset your password), the name you want students to see, and the classes you create.

Who can see what

• Other students see only your nickname, school and XP on the leaderboards.
• A teacher sees your nickname, scores and weak topics only if you join their class with their code.
• There is no messaging between users.

What we don’t do

• No adverts, and no tracking or advertising tools from other companies.
• We never sell your information.
• To stop people making lots of accounts or guessing passwords, we count attempts using a scrambled form of your internet address, never the address itself. Old counts are cleared as new attempts come in.

Where it’s stored

Your account and answers are stored with Supabase, which runs our database and log-in. The website is served by Vercel. Both only handle the information to run QwikPrep for us.

Deleting your account

Students can delete their account at any time from Me, then Delete account. This removes your nickname, school, scores and everything else that is linked to you. We keep only totals that can’t identify anyone, such as how many students got a question right.

The law

We follow Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
